Manado, N. Sulawesi - Aug 20 (Antaranews Sulut) - North Sulawesi reported a decline in international trade surplus to US$57.39 million in July, from US$76.25 million in June.
The surplus, however, was still US$19.5 million larger than surplus recorded in the same months last year, head of the North Sulawesi office of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Ateng Hartono here on Monday.
Hartono said exports by the province were valued at US$71.33 million as against imports of US$13.94 million in July. 2018.
The main export commodities from North Sulawesi include coconut oil valued at US$31.84 million or 44.64 percent of its total export earning.
Its imports include mineral fuels, oil products valued at US$7.18 million or 51.48 percent of its total imports. Reported by Nancy Lynda Tigauw (AS)
