Tomohon, North Sulawesi, July 21 (Antara) - The Tomohon city government in North Sulawesi Province has coordinated with the local Police to make the Tomohon International Flower Festival 2017 (TIFF-2017) a success.

"This coordination is related to security during the international flower festival which will be held in August 2017," Mayor of Tomoohon, Jimmy F. Eman remarked here on Thursday.

Eman said the TIFF-2017 is themed "The 7 Wonders Of Tomohon" that will be presenting five key agendas.

The five main agendas to enliven the international flower festival are the Tournament Of Flower on August 8, Nusantara Flower Queen contest on August 7-10, Tomohon Flower Carnival on August 8, Tourism, Trade Investment and Floriculture Expo on August 9-12, and

Nusantara Cultural Arts Performances on August 9-12.

"In addition to the main Iven, there are also interesting additional events, namely thanksgiving for Tomohon City anniversary, inauguration of public service office, and the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) record breaking for the making of the longest "ginger rice" in Indonesia," the mayor said.

Eman noted that the international event of flower festival needs security, and therefore, the city government has made coordination with the Police.

Hence, North Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Bambang Waskito asserted that they were ready to make the TIFF 2017 a great success.
