Jakarta, Sept 6 (Antara Sulut) - An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale shook Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, here at 9:22 a.m. Western Indonesian Standard Time (WIB).

The quake's epicenter was located 4.39 degrees northern latitude and 127.01 degrees eastern longitude, and at a depth of 10 km below sea level, the national meteorological, climatology and geophysics agency said on its website.

The tremor located around 24 km northeast of Talaud Islands, did not have potential to trigger a tsunami. @antarasulutcom.
